The Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale held in January 2025 in Australia is the largest among the auctions conducted by Magic Millions throughout the year. This year, approximately 1,400 horses were listed, attracting attention not only from progeny of leading sires but also from foals of new stallions.
Notably, progeny of Home Affairs, anticipated to be the successor to I Am Invincible, garnered significant interest. From Japan, trainer Mitsumasa Nakauchida attended the auction in person and purchased a filly by Home Affairs out of Sunlight for 3.2 million AUD, making headlines.
Additionally, American investor John Stewart, known for entering Goliath in the Japan Cup, attracted attention by purchasing nine high-priced horses.
Meanwhile, Japanoz Stable, in collaboration with JJ Racing, secured a Colt by Captivant. Daiki commented, “Compared to the same auction last year, Book 1 maintained the same level, but in Book 2, the quality of horses seemed to have declined. Nonetheless, after discussions with JJ Racing, we were able to find a lovely talented horse and secure it at a reasonable price in the Book 2.”
This colt is scheduled to be offered for shared ownership soon. Please stay tuned for updates on our official website and newsletters.
