I visited Fujiwara stables at JRA Ritto training center where I had some experience working under Mr. Fujiwara four years ago. Mr. Fujiwara is one of the leading stables in Japan. He mixes equestrian methods into his racehorse training.

I had the opportunity to observe the training on the courses and barrier training while I was following Mr. Fujiwara.

He was more than happy to answer numerous questions I had. I was particularly interested in the comments made by the top Japanese jockeys after completing their fast work sessions. I also had the chance to speak with Mr. Fukunaga who finished his successful jockey career and gained the trainers license recently.

Unlike my previous experience of actually riding during the visit four years ago, this time I was able to witness the entire training process, providing a different learning experience. I would like to thank Mr. Fujiwara, as well as all the staff members, for their kindness and assistance.
