Purchasing a yearling by Tagaloa, at the Magic Million January Sale. The sale takes place several times a year, but the January sale is the biggest and the quality of pedigrees and prices makes buying here very worthwhile. Tagaloa is a Japanese-bred stallion introduced in the last newsletter and is in his first crop of yearlings this year. The dam Galivant raced in Europe and won at distances over 2000m, a middle to long distance type. The dam’s sire is Galileo and her siblings include 2014 Sydney Cup(3200m) winner The Offer. The foal has a strong, springy movement and was purchased after consultation with the online salon JJ Racing, which has already filled half of her ownership.
