Saxon Brave won in the maiden event at Grafton Racecourse. This 3-year-old colt, from the Classic Sale, had shown potential but had been consistently finishing in second or third place in previous races, making this triumph a relief. The race distance was 1700m, and jockey McGuren, who rode Saxon Brave, commented after the race, “The leader set a good pace, allowing me to comfortably settle in second place with a good rhythm. It seems that extending the distance even further could bring out more from him.”
In the future, races with longer distances will be chosen based on the jockey’s recommendation, and further success is anticipated. Interestingly, this victory marked the significant achievement of being the 100th win for Saxon Brave’s stallion, Saxon Warrior. Moving forward, the aim is to nurture Saxon Brave’s growth while progressing smoothly toward the goal of participating in 3-year-old classic races.
Congratulations to the owners!
