Three years ago, this horse caught my attention when he went unsold as a weanling at the Magic Million sale, and then listed onto the online sale. When I first saw him, the physique was still immature, but the decision to purchase was made with expectations of Maurice’s growth potential. Debuting in June 2022, this marks the eleventh race. While the previous record showed four seconds and three thirds placings, he was finally at the age of four that the physique began to fully develop.
